RENO JOINT BOARD 2004

Paul Consentino again hosted the Almaden Valley Rotarians for a weekend at the Peppermill Casino and Hotel. Paul's room provided a great venue for fellowship and the Preakness horse race. There was one glitch. There was no cable in the town of Reno or at least in the Peppermill during the race. The cable came back on as the winner, Smarty Jones, was walking to the winner's circle. We had to wait it out to learn of the 2nd thru 5th placers and to actually watch the rerunning of the race.

The intent of the weekend is a celebration for the outgoing and incoming boards. We held the two board meetings prior to the race and during the race in that there was no working cable. The rest of the time we suffered on the golf courses, suffered in the casino and suffered in the many fancy dining rooms.
