CLUB ASSEMBLY

The Almaden Valley Rotary Club holds a club assembly four times a year (every quarter) for the members to discuss matters of concern with the club.

The meeting has recently been held on a Thursday evening versus Friday evenings to try to maximize attendance. The club assembly is not for outside visitors and thus is not held on our traditional Friday lunch time.

The intent of the meeting is to:

  • Discuss the club budget
  • Discuss committee activities
  • Discuss endowment activities (budget and disbursements)
  • Give members a greater awareness of how club plans are actually implemented (a source for a hot topic)
  • Discuss ongoing programs
  • Periodic review of the club's strengths and weaknesses
  • Informal discussions on current topics
  • Heated discussions on hot topics

The most important thing about the club assemblies is that it gives each Rotarian a chance to speak their mind about a topic that is near and dear to their heart in the club.
